Two weeks of reading for a great cause. Pine View students read, log their minutes, and collect pledges from family and friends, with every dollar going to the Pine View media center.

Family sponsors are recognized on the annual Read-a-thon bookmark, given to every elementary and middle school student at Pine View. Your sponsorship supports the Pine View media center.

How Read-a-thon works

Read-a-thon is part of Pine View's Reading Month, alongside the Book Fair and the Book Drive. Student registration opens in January.

Set a reading goal

Each student sets a goal for the two weeks: minutes, pages, or books.

Collect pledges

Family and friends pledge a flat donation or an amount per minute, page, or book.

Log the reading

Students log their reading online as they go.

Earn prizes

Readers earn prizes along the way, and the top reading and fundraising classes are celebrated.
