Peramathon is Pine View's student-led fundraiser and the best hour of the school year. Elementary and middle school students take the track to raise funds for programs that run throughout the year.

Peramathon Day

What actually happens on the track

Grade-level races take place throughout the day. Laps are tracked with winners recognized at each grade level.

Run times

  • Grades 2, 3, and 6 9:50–10:50 a.m.
  • Grades 7 and 8 12–1 p.m.
  • Grades 4 and 5 1:30–2:30 p.m.

  1. During the school day

    Each grade races for an hour

    Each grade level has an hour on the track. Laps are tracked and winners are announced.

  2. The whole time

    Music and mayhem

    5 laps or 25, everyone has fun with a DJ keeping the laughter and energy high.

  3. Trackside

    Come cheer

    Parents are invited to cheer. Bring a sign, bring your voice. Students look for their people every lap.

  4. After the last lap

    Awards

    The top three girls and top three boys in every grade are recognized at an awards ceremony.

Need another permission slip?

Every runner needs a signed release form. Most families already got one sent home. If yours didn't make it, print this one, sign it, and turn it in to your child's teacher:

  • Elementary: homeroom teacher
  • Grades 6 and 8: 3rd period teacher
  • Grade 7: 4th period teacher

For families

How the fundraising works

In the weeks leading up to Peramathon, students collect pledges from family, friends, and neighbors.

Flat donations

Family, friends, and neighbors give a one-time gift of any amount to support your runner or the event as a whole.

Prizes along the way

Students earn prizes as they collect pledges in the weeks before the event, so the fundraising is part of the fun rather than a chore.

Fundraising is not required to take part. Every student runs on Peramathon Day, whether or not they collected a single pledge.

Volunteer

Peramathon runs on volunteers.

An hour of running takes a lot of adults counting, pouring, and cheering. Day-of slots fill quickly, so grab yours now.
